Letter from Mayor Santos to Kearny Property Tax Payers Regarding the 1st and 2nd Installment 2010 Tax Bills
Taxes for the first quarter are due by February 10, 2010. After February 10th, interest will be charged on delinquent amounts calculated from February 1st. The Tax Collector’s Office, located in the Town Hall at 402 Kearny Ave. will be open until 7:00 pm on February 9th. Taxes for the second quarter are due by May 10, 2010.
Kearny’s Inauguration Ceremony – January 4, 2010
The Town of Kearny hosted an inauguration ceremony at Town Hall on January 4, 2010. Alberto G. Santos was sworn in as Mayor. Alexa C. Arce, Albino Cardoso, Madeline Peyko, Carol Jean Doyle and Michael Landy were sworn in as Members of the Council.

Holiday Celebration and Tree Lighting at Kearny Town Hall
Town Hall Park was filled with holiday cheer as hundreds of residents attended Kearny’s annual tree lighting festival on December 4, 2009. In addition to a visit from Santa, the event featured performances by the Kearny High School Wind Ensemble, the Washington School Dream Team, Mater Dei Academy Drama Club, Mater Dei Academy Children's Choir and Stonehenge, a local band.
