DAVIS AVENUE PARKING RESTRICTIONS DUE TO SNOW REMOVAL -- SATURDAY, JANUARY 30

Beginning at 7 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, there is no parking on the portion of Davis Avenue from Dukes Street to Midland Avenue.  Snow removal operations will be done on that portion of Davis Avenue. Parked vehicles will be towed at owner's expense. This restriction has been lifted.

MUNICIPAL OPERATIONS ON MONDAY, JANUARY 25

If your street has been plowed, there will be curbside garbage collection by Cali Carting on the regular Monday route on January 25.

For residents whose scheduled garbage day was last Saturday, garbage will not be picked up until your next scheduled date on Wednesday, January 27.  Accordingly, do not place or leave garbage on the curbside until Tuesday evening.

Town Hall will be open for business on Monday. Some Departments may have limited staffing and curtailed hours.

Habitat for Humanity is Accepting Applications for Home Ownership at 41 Kearny Avenue

Habitat for Humanity of Hudson County is accepting applications for home ownership in its three condominium building located at 41 Kearny Avenue, Kearny.

Habitat for Humanity builds simple, decent and safe for low income families.  The building at 41 Kearny Avenue will include one 2-bedroom unit that is ADA compliant and two 3-bedroom units that will occupy the second and third stories.  The new homes will be available for families to move in by the end of the summer 2015. 

North Pole’s Most Popular Resident, Santa Claus Visits Kearny

On Saturday, December 12, 2015, after making his list and checking it twice, Santa made an early visit to town.  After being escorted along Kearny Avenue, Midland Avenue, and Davis Avenue by our Kearny Police and Fire Departments, Santa then made his way on stage at the Kearny High School Auditorium to meet and greet more than 300 children with candy canes, coloring books, crayons and a gift bag.
