Deputy Municipal Court Administrator  

NJ Civil Service exam for full-time Deputy Municipal Court Administrator. Under direction of the Municipal Court Administrator, assists in supervising and/or performing quasi-judicial and administrative functions related to the operation of a municipal court; does other  related duties as required. One (1) year of experience in work related to the administrative operation of a court, law enforcement agency, law office, or government agency, including the preparation and/or processing of legal documents.
NOTE:  Current certification as a Municipal Court Administrator issued by the New Jersey Supreme Court pursuant to NJSA 2B:12-11 may be substituted for the indicated experience.
SPECIAL NOTE:  Effective September 13, 2011, all newly appointed deputy municipal court administrators, who are not certified municipal court administrators pursuant to N.J.S.A.2B:12-11, must obtain conditional accreditation within six (6) months of  the date of appointment.  All newly appointed, non-certified deputy municipal court administrators must obtain full accreditation within three (3) years of the date of appointment.  A non-certified deputy municipal court administrator, who fails to obtain conditional accreditation or accreditation within the time frames provided above will be ineligible to remain in that title.  The Municipal Court Administrator certification Board may grant an extension of time upon a showing of good cause.
Registered Environmental Health Specialist Trainee

Public Health -  Seeking part-time REHS to ensure compliance with relevant sanitary and health laws. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting field inspections and investigations. Experience with retail food inspection and public complaint investigation preferred. Police Officer – Civil Service examination for Police Officer.

  • Applicants must be citizens of the United States as of August 31, 2016.
  • Where hiring preferences apply, applicants must meet the residency requirements of the appointing jurisdiction as of August 31, 2016 and will be required to maintain continuous residency in that jurisdiction up to and including the date of appointment.

Nurse needed in Public Health Dept. to work 9 to 12 hours per month.  NJ registered nursing license req.  Duties include baby well clinic, child immunizations, adult preventative programs and other related duties. Law Enforcement Officer

Part time court officers needed to make sure courtroom is safe for judges, spectators, legal staff, employees, witnesses and defendants.  Will monitor metal detectors before court is in session and effectively clear courtrooms when emergencies or dangerous situations arise, maintain radio contact with police and may be called upon to take action to make arrests, control combative or disorderly persons and employ force as situations require and other related duties.       Click here for application    EOE/ADA

Minimum Qualifications:
Satisfactory completion of a training course approved by the NJ Police Training Commission.  Candidates must have a valid NJ PTC Certificate for Special Law Enforcement Officer II
No criminal background.  All successful candidates must pass a comprehensive background investigation which includes fingerprints, a medical examination, drug test and psychological exam, where applicable.  All are a condition of employment.

Public Safety Telecommunicator Trainee

We are accepting application to keep on file for future vacancies.  The position receives and responds to telephone requests for emergency assistance, fire,  medical or other emergency services, dispatches appropriate units to response sites and other related work as required. Part time position to work 10 / 12 hour shifts for a total of 24 hours per week.  Shifts include days, nights, weekends and holidays.  One (1) year experience in dispatching emergency vehicles preferred. Building Inspector / Code Enforcement Officer

Part time.  Under direction of Construction Official and Building Subcode Official, inspects new and existing buildings and structures to ensure compliance with the State Uniform Construction Code and enforces same,  performs varied types of field and office work involved in seeing that residents, business places and citizens comply with various municipal ordinances, does property maintenance, zoning and code enforcement and other related duties.
