On Tuesday, May 10, 2016, during the Regular Meeting of the Mayor and Town Council, Mayor Alberto G. Santos issued a Proclamation designating May as Lupus Awareness Month in the Town of Kearny to educate the public about Lupus and the needs for research funding, accurate diagnosis, and effective treatments that will lead to a cure for this devastating illness that affects so many people.

Kearny Recreation Softball Celebrates Opening Day

On Saturday, April 16, 2016, Mayor Alberto Santos, Town Council members and Recreation Commissioners attended opening day ceremonies for the Kearny Softball Program at Veteran’s Memorial Field.  This year, 175 children registered for participation in the softball program which is now in its 51st year as a Town of Kearny Recreation program.  Local businesses and organizations are sponsoring 11 teams for children ages 4 through 12 and grades Pre-K through 8th.  Parents and players joined Mayor
