The Town of Kearny has launched an app for iPhone and Android users who want to report a neighborhood problem or quality-of-life issue and request Town services. Powered by SeeClickFix,® the place-based reporting platform allows residents to report neighborhood concerns such as litter, graffiti, potholes, litter, water leaks and malfunctioning traffic signals. Citizens can also use the app to check the status of any reported problem.
According to Mayor Alberto G. Santos, the app can be accessed while citizens are out in the community and see a problem. The app allows the user to either manually enter the location of the problem or, within the boundaries of the Town of Kearny, to use the system’s GPS technology to pinpoint the location of the user. “We know that our citizens are increasingly relying on mobile phones and tablet computers. This new app is another way for residents to report a problem quickly,” said Mayor Santos.
The new app, Town of Kearny SeeClickFix, is available for free at the App Store or can be downloaded at http://www.seeclickfix.com/apps.
