KEARNY, NJ. Kearny was the place to be last weekend when the Town was once again transformed into a border-to-border bargain hunter’s paradise during the annual KEARNY TOWN WIDE YARD & SIDEWALK SALE.
This marked the 7th year the Kearny Urban Enterprise Zone (KUEZ) has sponsored the event. Hundreds of residential, business, and community groups hosted sales throughout the weekend. And despite a less-than-perfect weather, Kearny was buzzing with activity.
The KUEZ promoted the sale on line and in area newspapers. Sellers were listed on both a printed map which was available for download online and at an Info Booth hosted by the KUEZ the morning of the sale, as well as an interactive Google map which not only identified sellers and addresses but also identified key items for sale at each location.
“This event continues to receive great feedback as it energizes the Town and brings new visitors and shoppers to Kearny helping showcase all that Kearny has to offer,” said KUEZ coordinator John Peneda.
Plans are already in the works for the Town-Wide Yard & Sidewalk Sale in 2017.
