Kearny Federal Savings Bank is celebrating its One Hundred and Twenty Fifth Anniversary

Whereas, Kearny Federal Savings Bank, a full service federally-chartered stock savings bank, was originally established in 1884; and

 
Whereas, Kearny Federal Savings Bank’s rich history, one that has seen steady growth and one that has never lost sight of the fundamental principles of personal service and community involvement; and
 
Whereas, Kearny Federal Savings Bank has been involved in community support across New Jersey and within the Town of Kearny, through programs for:  The March of Dimes, Easter Egg Hunts for Pre-Schools, Annual Senior on the Move Programs, Financial Lessons at High Schools, The Salvation Army, Participation in Local Food Banks, Host Gift Drives, Annual Festival of Trees, Local Parades, Local Library, Summer Reading, Summer Concerts, National Night Out, Brownie Troop Bank Tours, PBA Special Olympics, and Checking Programs at Local High Schools; and
 
Whereas, Kearny Federal Savings Bank is celebrating its One Hundred and Twenty Fifth Anniversary; and
 
Whereas, Kearny Federal Savings Bank has donated $4,500 for the planting of Annuals and Perennials in planters along the Streetscape of Kearny Avenue;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT Proclaimed that the Mayor and Council of the Town of Kearny, in the County of Hudson, recognize the support of Kearny Federal Savings Bank in the community of Kearny and all the communities serviced by Kearny Federal Savings Bank and acknowledges its contribution to the beautification of Kearny Avenue;  and
 
Be It Further Resolved, that the Town of Kearny extends it deepest appreciation and Congratulations to Kearny Federal Savings Bank, its Officers and Employees as they celebrate this momentous occasion of 125 years of its founding.
