The North Jersey District Water Supply Commission  (NJDWSC), which supplies water to Veolia customers in Bayonne and Kearny, is conducting repairs to a 72″ main. The NJDWSC work requires a temporary shutdown of the main, to assess and execute this vital infrastructure repair.

During that time, the systems for Bayonne and Kearny will be fed via the Jersey City Interconnection, to ensure safe and reliable service to residents in those communities. The activation of the Interconnection, however, may create a brief period of discoloration due to naturally occurring sediments in the water system.

Any customers who encounter water discoloration are advised to run their cold water taps, flushing the pipes until water runs clear.

There are no other advisories associated with this repair, and we thank you for your patience and cooperation.
