The Town of Kearny has announced updates to the Residential Parking Permit Program under Town Ordinance 7-32. To ensure you have access to overnight parking on affected streets, please review the updated guidelines and application process below.
Permit Details & Requirements
All residents living on the designated streets must display a valid 2026 Parking Permit to park between the hours of 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
To apply, you must provide copies of:
A valid Driver’s License
Current Vehicle Insurance
Vehicle Registration Card

The following streets are subject to permit parking (download the full ordinance for specific block boundaries):
Ann Street • Ogden Avenue • Radley Street • Sanford Avenue • Johnston Avenue • Woodland Avenue • Devon Street • Maple Street
Highland Avenue • John Street • Grant Avenue • Sheridan Avenue • Lincoln Avenue • Belgrove Drive • Chestnut Street

KPD Station: 237 Laurel Ave. (Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Note: For residents on Sanford Avenue, please be aware that the 21-space parking area on the east side north of Harrison Ave is excluded from this permit and remains designated for overnight parking under Section 7-33.
