The Kearny Recreation Department is pleased to announce the start of our Summer Playground Program beginning on Tuesday June 27, 2023 at the following playgrounds:
- Pettigrew Playground located on Highland/Woodland Avenues
- Scott Playground located on Belgrove Dr. /Park Ave.
- Dowd Playground located on Hoyt St/Devon Terr. Between Davis/Devon
- Rogers Playground located on Oakwood Ave./Hickory St.
- Bell Playground located on Stewart/Chestnut
- Manor Park located on Bennett Avenue
The Summer Playground Program will operate Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Each playground will have counselors to interact with children ages 5 through 13 in various games and Arts & Crafts.
In addition, we are extending our program at Scott Playground located on Belgrove Drive with our counselors from 4:00pm to 8:00pm Monday through Friday.
There is no cost to attend the playground activities. But please be advised, we do not recommend leaving your child in the playground as there is no water fountains or restrooms.
