The Mayors Wellness Campaign
The Mayors Wellness Campaign (MWC) is a statewide community health initiative led by the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute in partnership with the New Jersey State League of Municipalities. The program supports participating mayors in promoting healthy, active living and wellness as a way of life in their communities.
Through evidence-based tools and strategies, the MWC helps residents achieve healthier lifestyles and improves overall community health and wellness. The initiative provides resources for programs, activities, and events that encourage physical activity, nutrition education, and mental well-being.
Mayors who commit to the Mayors Wellness Campaign inspire residents of all ages—from youth to seniors—to live their healthiest lives. By leading by example and encouraging community participation, mayors help create a culture of wellness with the long-term goal of improving health outcomes across their towns.
