We are thrilled to celebrate Denise Ficeto, who has been named Kearny’s Senior Citizen of the Year for 2024! During the Hudson County Senior Luncheon, Denise graciously accepted this honor, expressing her gratitude to County Executive Craig Guy, Chairman Romano, Mayor Carol Jean Doyle, Lyla DeCastro Lawdanski, Deputy Director Joanne Carratura, and the dedicated members of the town council, including Marytrine DeCastro. She extended a heartfelt thank you to her husband, Gerald Ficeto, for his unwavering love and support.
Denise has served the Kearny community, collaborating with organizations like American Legion Post 99, Marine Corp League West Hudson Detachment, VFW Post 1302, and many others, significantly enhancing the community’s wellbeing.
With enthusiasm and a touch of humor, Denise looks forward to continuing her invaluable community service endeavors and jokingly remarked that she can now officially ride the senior bus to Shop Rite!
