This past Saturday, the Kearny Department of Public Health hosted its popular annual free rabies clinic for dogs and cats. Thanks to ongoing vaccination efforts, rabies has become increasingly rare among household pets. Maintaining up-to-date rabies vaccinations is crucial for all pets, regardless of whether they spend time outdoors or remain inside. Doing so not only protects the health of our pets it protects the health of our community too.
