Mayor Carol Jean Doyle and Council Members Marytrine De Castro, George Zapata, and Jose Rodrigues joined the Peruvian Civic Association of New Jersey for a flag raising event. The ceremony commemorated Peru’s Independence Day (July 28) and honored the contributions of Peruvian immigrants in Kearny and throughout New Jersey.
