It is with profound sadness that we mourn the loss of our colleague Jonathan D. Giordano who served as 2nd Ward Council Member for the Town of Kearny. He was a lifelong resident of Kearny who graduated from Kearny High School in 1984 and attended New Jersey City University before joining his father in his family’s business, West Hudson Lumber and Millwork. He began his service as Councilman on January 1, 2015. He also served as a member of the Kearny Planning Board.

We extend our deepest condolences today to his wife Ivy, son Enzo, mother Pat and all his family members and friends. In all his roles, Jon exemplified honesty, integrity and compassion. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this very difficult time.

In recognition of the life and in mourning of the passing of Councilman Jonathan D. Giordano, municipal buildings and parks will fly flags at half-staff this week.
