Mayor Alberto G. Santos and the Town Council announced that the Gunnel Oval Recreational Complex would re-open to the public and resume regular operating hours on Saturday, April 10, 2021.  The facility will be open 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to dusk with the exception that games with permits from the Town’s Recreation Department may extend into the evening until 10:00 p.m.

Adults and children can use the walkways throughout the facility, the playground area, volleyball court, skate park, outdoor exercise equipment and other amenities at the renovated state-of-the-art facility.  Residents are reminded that permits are required to use any of the fields for game play.

No pets are allowed on the fields, in the playground area or any other enclosed area in the facility.

Always remember to pick up your debris while at the facility.

Please note that there is camera surveillance at the facility that is monitored by the Kearny Police Department.
