George King currently serves as the Town Administrator for Kearny, bringing decades of public service experience and leadership to the role. Before his appointment as Town Administrator, George dedicated over 39 years to the Kearny Police Department, retiring as Police Chief in 2024. In addition to his responsibilities as Chief, he also served as the town’s Emergency Management Coordinator, overseeing public safety and crisis response efforts.

A proud lifelong resident of Kearny, George earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Rutgers University. He remains actively involved in town life and is a longtime member of local civic groups, including the St. Columcille United Gaelic Pipe Band.
