The Kearny Fire Department’s annual Open House at Fire Headquarters was a hit on Thursday, October 19, with families enjoying a variety of activities, including:
- Operating a fire hose at the fire-hose station
- Watching vehicle-extrication and fire-sprinkler demonstrations
- Meeting with firefighters and learning about their work
- Enjoying food and refreshments
- Viewing various pieces of fire equipment
The event gave the community a closer look at the Kearny Fire Department and the important work that firefighters do to keep us safe.
